most of my photos featured here, particularly the more recently added ones, were taken with my film camera (canon rebel EOS K2) so they're prints that i had to scan in. regretably, i have not yet moved into my dorm, nor have i hooked my scanner up to my laptop. as i expected to be posting the images with only my laptop at my disposal, i emailed the scanned images to myself.
i do not recommend this! now, most of these images are horribly small unless you click to view them larger, which in some cases does make them look more normal. not only did this process screw with the size, but the quality is not very good. the sad old scanner i had to use seems to be off kilter (i didn't know this), so many of the pictures are tilted and show white edges.
this wouldn't be so much a problem if i'd been able to install photoshop on my laptop, but the installer wouldn't accept my serial number! the fiends!
so, i'm not quite happy with the result. perhaps when i get my pretty new scanner hooked up to my pretty new laptop, i might consider re-posting the pictures i feel most deserve it. time will tell.
